That’s the reason why thousands of companies and professionals from across the world
and across all sectors support WTM World Responsible Tourism Day on Wednesday 7 November, sponsored by BBC World News.

Presentations, speeches, seminars, debates and advice clinics will be held on Tuesday 6, Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8, November. The main focus of WTM WRTD will be on Wednesday 7 November at WTM in London, while in Iquique, Místico Outdoors, only official supporter in northern Chile, designed a video with local images and examples to show, What is responsible tourism? and How I can help? The video will be available through their contacts with social media and copies are displayed in local schools of the Tarapaca region, in northern Chile during WTM WRTD.

This is the one defining day in the year that travel companies, destinations,organisations, employees and suppliers come together across the world in a remarkable expression of a new way of thinking. A unique phenomenon with the potential to help change the way that the industry delivers in the future.

Forces, such as growing environmental boundaries, the lack of fresh water and the impact of terrible poverty means
the industry is beginning to change. What’s more, its responding to a surge in demand from consumers for a more ethical, caring and sensitive approach from travel and tourism.

The pioneering WTM World Responsible Tourism Day, in association with the UNWTO, hosts the world’s most comprehensive, searching and thought-provoking agenda on responsible tourism.

Presentaciones, conferencias, seminarios, debates y clínicas de asesoramiento se llevarán a cabo el martes 6, miércoles 7 y Jueves 8 de noviembre en la WTM en Londres, mientras que en Iquique, Místico Outdoors, único seguidor oficial en el norte de Chile, diseñó un vídeo con imágenes y ejemplos locales para mostrar, ¿Qué es el turismo responsable? y ¿Cómo puedo ayudar? El video estará disponible a través de sus contactos con los medios sociales y las copias se mostrará en escuelas locales y de la comuna de Huara, Región de Tarapacá, al norte de Chile durante WTM WRTD.

En resumen, es un día en el año en que las empresas de viajes, destinos, organizaciones, empleados y
proveedores se unen en todo el mundo en una notable expresión de una nueva forma de pensar.
Un fenómeno único, con el potencial de ayudar a cambiar la forma en que la industria se ofrece en el futuro, todo esto ante la demanda, por parte de los consumidores, de un enfoque más ético, amigable y sensible en cada viaje turístico.

With this trade visit, Místico Outdoors -alongside with other leading tourism companies of the north of Chile, aims to update their knowledge and learn the latest trends in adventure tourism and responsible travels. MO has arranged a series of meetings, networking and attending conferences that take us back to the classroom! this time with the latest in the industry.

Místico Outdoors attend this fair strongly supported by SERCOTEC, who believed in our serious and professional work. On their return, participating companies have committed ourselves (and gladly) to conduct a series of meetings and talks and also a seminar! also knowledge transfer activities will take place in Iquique and the Tamarugal.

Con esta visita comercial, Místico Outdoors -junto a otras destacadas empresas del turismo de la zona norte de Chile-, pretende actualizar sus conocimientos y enterarse de las últimas tendencias en turismo de aventura y responsable. Para ello, junto a la visita, se ha concertado una serie de reuniones, networking y asistencia a conferencias que nos llevarán de regreso a la sala de clases! esta vez con lo último de la industria.
